Soundtracks on Movie

From the previous post, you must have already know about the meaning of soundtrack. Soundtrack also takes part in movies and television programs. Like Breaking Dawn, Hunger Games, and many more.
The term soundtrack now most commonly refers to the music used in movie/television shows, and/or an album sold containing that music. Sometimes, the music has been recorded just for the film or album. Often, but not always, and depending on the type of the movie, the soundtrack album will contain portions of the score, music composed for dramatic effect, as the movie's plot occurs. Camille Saint-Saens is the first composer of movie soundtrack, specifically for use in motion picture, and releases recordings of songs used in films on 1930s. Henry Mancini, who won an Emmy Award and two Grammys for his soundtrack. By convention, a soundtrack record can contain all kinds of music, including music 'Inspired by', but not actually appearing in the movie. the score contains only music by the original film' composer(s).

This is the example of soundtracks

Sound Track

On the previous entry, I have posted about many genres in music nowadays. And now, I want to talk about music as sound track.

Soundtrack music is recorded music accompanying and synchronized to the images of a motion picturebooktelevision program or video game. The other meanings are commercially released soundtrack album of music as featured in the soundtrack of a film or TV show and the physical area of a film that contains the synchronized recorded sound.

For this entry, I want to talk about soundtrack in video games. The first composers for music in video games in computer are Rob Hubbard and Martin Galway (you can check it on Wikipedia). Meanwhile, the man named Koji Kondo was an early and important composer for Nintendo games. As the technology improved, polyphonic (music that consists of two or more independent melodic voice and accompanied by chord) and often orchestral soundtracks replaced simple monophonic (music that consists of melody without accompanying harmony) melodies starting in the late 1980s and the soundtracks to popular games such as  "Final Fantasy" series began to be released separately.
Now, there are many video games with their own soundtrack. Like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Atelier Iris, Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time (Role Playing Games, or RPG for short); Grand Theft Auto; and many games on computer.

Below are the examples of video games soundtrack

This is from Final Fantasy (Main Theme from Final Fantasy VII)

This is from Kingdom Hearts (Sinister Sundown - Field and Battle from Kingdom Hearts I)

And the last, this is from Legend of Zelda : Ocarina of Time (this is piano duet from pianist with youtube's nickname : kylelandry ; Legend of Zelda - Gerudo Valley)

Music

Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence. Its common elements are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated conceptstempometer, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture.

The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to culture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can be divided into genres and subgenres, although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to individual interpretation, and occasionally controversial. Within "the arts", music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and auditory art. There is also a strong connection between music and mathematics
